NAGLA Trail

We had one more outdoor alumni activity where we went to the Nagla Forest for a nature trail almost 3km long, organized by BNHS, on Sunday, March 18, 2012.

This was in the lesser known forest of the Nagla Block of the Sanjay Gandhi National Park. Situated to the North of the Bassein Creek, Nagla Block is considered to be one of the highly rewarding walks for birding near Mumbai, covering a good range of woodland species and a few wetland species along the creek side.

This turned out to be a fun filled half day gathering for the alumni with family and kids, who thoroughly enjoyed the walk, learning about flora and fauna along the trail, at Nagla. From the institute, we had Prof Karmakar, Prof Jyoti Jagasia, Prof Bindu Kulkarni and Prof Aditi Divatia joining the group.
