Guest lecture by Umesh Phadke

Mr. Phadke, an alumnus of the 1995 batch, visited SPJIMR's Mumbai campus on 23 July 2011 to address the PGDM participants. The address - his second over the past five years - primarily drew upon his extensive experience with P&G, and more recently with GSK and L'Oreal.

During his session, Mr. Phadke used the presentation titled 'The Ideal Job hunt' to share the learning from his experiences while pursuing new opportunities. Besides sharing the best practices on putting together a resume and preparing for an interview, relevance of smart networking skills - specifically through LinkedIn - were also emphasized. Lastly, he recommended a reading of Michael D Watkins authored 'The First 90 Days' for new hires to make a mark in their initial days.
