BNHS Trail
There is a Nature and Wildlife treat in
store for the Alumni of the Mumbai Chapter of
SPJIMR this September. Alcom is organising a lovely
family outing to the Sanjay Gandhi National Park
in Borivali. We would be exploring the picturesque
Shilonda Trail which has amazing views, colourful
flora and beautiful streams in store for you!

Mumbai Marathon
Alumni get your running shoes on!!
There is no fun like the fun of running. And no
distance feels big with friends by your side.
The Alumni Committee of SPJIMR is proud to announce
another initiative towards Alumni engagement.
The Mumbai Marathon is around the corner and we
plan to get our Alumni together for the six kms
Dream Run. The dates and the details of the marathon
would be soon communicated to you. Till then let

lecture by Umesh Phadke - Managing Director, L'Oreal
| Mr.
Phadke, an alumnus of the 1995 batch, visited
SPJIMR's Mumbai campus on 23 July 2011 to
address the PGDM participants. The address
- his second over the past five years - primarily
drew upon his extensive experience with P&G,
and more recently with GSK and L'Oreal. Mr.
Phadke followed up his visit with another
one - this one lasting more than seven hours
- to give individual advice to students on
their resume and career options. Click

Alumni meet in USA
There has been a series of alumni meets in
USA this year, where faculty have met around
30-35 alumni across, SFO and New York. The
SPJIMR Alumni Meet at New York was held
on 9th July.Prof Abbas met alumni in Boston
and SFO. Click

London Alumni meet
The SPJIMR Alumni Meet in London was a resounding
success, with around 31 alumni present along
with Prof Kulkarni, Prof Pallavi Mody and
Prof Aditi Divatia who flew down from Mumbai.
Prof Maithyli and Prof Jyotsana Dhuru, based
in London, graced the occasion as well.

Singapore Meet
The Alumni meet at Singapore was held on
6th August at the SPJCM campus. It was attended
by Prof Abbas, Prof Bindu and Prof Aditi.
There was an excellent and encouraging turn-out
of 30 alumni present going right back till
the 1986 batch all the way up to the 2009

Meet
MILAN 2011,PGPM Alumni meet, held on 23rd
July, was attended by 30 alumni participating
from all the batches of PGPM. A total of
90 people attended the event including the
faculty members, family members of alumni

Book
published by Alumnus
| Keerti Garg completed her bachelors from
Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi, graduated
from S.P.Jain in 2007 and worked with Standard
Chartered Bank from 2007-2009. She studied
business courses such as Creativity and
Leadership and High Performance Management
at Stanford University in 2010 and completed
a post graduate diploma in Training and
Development from Indian Society of Training
and Development, Delhi in 2011. Currently,
she works with a non-profit in California.
